well, that was my point. I know he's supposed to look like Hedorah...but I never like the idea of him being a Hedorah "Clone". So I did the next best thing, "improvise"!

Actually, as I heard before that Deathla was Hedorah's hatchling(basically the egg that wasn't destroyed by Godzilla when he fought Hedorah)But you're right.Deathla looks awesomely creepy here.

Looks like the true face of evil (which you made for the Matongo transformation) would look perfect for Godzilla 3D to the Max. Reply to me.

well, I can't take all the credits. A few art out there inspired me. XD and all I have to do is twist what I saw like eggs in a blender and viola!

Of the few ideas I've seen tossed around for Deathla, this one is one of my favorites thus far. Using the Matango as a stepping stone for a such a monstrosity is a wonderful way to include them. This also gives some credibilty to why Deathla has a skull like visage, because he's made of Mantago who are part human (upon infection in your case). Big scary bastard all right. This is a monster I wouldn't mind seeing tango with Godzilla.

yep! finally!someone who does get his design! I got people here in the country looking at my work and asking "why does it have a skull if it's part mushroom?" The worst part is, they're looking at this page! XD

People who don't know shit about giant monsters or the Godzilla series in general really shouldn't be viewing this stuff anyway. It boogles their mind and makes them want to return to the safe havens of their brain where Halo, Hanna Montana, and Star Trek exist.
Most might recognize Godzilla sure but generally most people have no idea what the hell we fans are drawing half the time or the scale of what we are drawing.
Then there are the boobs who just look at the picture without even skimming through the artist comments and then make a snap judgment about it.

yeah. ....wait, I draw boobs! oh well, at least I have perfect balance of my gallery. I don't draw boobs all the time. Sometimes I draw fanart, post-production arts, poetry (rarely lately)

ooh! boobs! in my vocabulary, I used the word ingrates! then there's jack-asses, a-hole, trash, cunt, schnitzel (seriously), el crappo, muy gusto bastardo and my personal favorite: "bitch".
well, I can say the same for me. when it comes to human positions, I needed a base to figure out what am I gonna draw. So, i keep a scrapbook full of poses, movie screenshots of characters, even porn mag cut-outs (the ones my dad threw away.) for female anatomy.

I can generally get away with just plotting out light sketches first to get the form set then working in the figure and detail. References sure are important though, drawing from life is good and all but for time and convienance, a photo or magazine is a must.

I lack the skills for a light sketch, since my drawing style is that of a repeated stroke. So in order for me not to ruin a good paper, I have to keep a base so I wouldn't do much mistakes. Up until I remember the poses, then I could draw without the base.

Just one word... wow. Awesome, the pose, the face, the proportions it's general aggressive appearance, the organic look of the skin... a real monster in every way. In a live version it would be impressive.

Nice. Why'd you decide to make him a plant monster?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
hewhowalksdeath In reply to GodzillaKiryu91 [2009-04-23 03:24:31 +0000 UTC]
cuz he has a "mushroom" form so I thought i should add in the Matango (which was a cool movie, very weird and scary). I thought it would make an awesome connection so I went head on to make him a plant monster, while still trying to keep his "hedorah" form. (since fungi sometimes come around as a slime, It fits perfectly with the story.)
