It's been a long night.

It's been three weeks since I rescued my adopted daughter from Sabortooth. Ever since then she has been having nightmares. Even if I get her back to sleep, (Y/n) still wakes up crying and screaming from the same nightmare. It's taking its toll on me too. When the bad dreams started the fewer hours of sleep I got.

'Finally' I think to myself as I set the asleep 5 year old back in her bed. I instantly go to my room and pass out on the bed. For what seems like two hours later, I hear sniffling in front of me. Then I feel my little girl's shaky hand on my shoulder trying to shake me awake.

"D-daddy are you awake?" She asks me with a little crack in her voice that breaks my heart a little.

"Yeah ,bub. I'm awake" I say yawning. "Same bad dream?"

She nods with tears still in her eyes. "Can I sleep with you daddy?" She asks.

"Sure, bub,"

She slightly smiles at that and climbs onto the bed then lays on my chest.

"I love you daddy"

"Love you too (Y/n). Now, go to sleep ,bub"
