(Hi everyone, hexmex711 here. Hope you're all still doing well, thank you all for enjoying my work so far, it really means a lot. I will keep 'em coming, so feel free to hit me up with any ideas if any come to mind. Btw, "Iron Monkey" is such a great film, I watched it for the 3rd time... because it's awesome. You should definitely check it out sometime and it's available on Youtube for a very short time probably. I'm also not a native Cantonese speaker but I started learning because of a friend, so any HKers, Macau, or Guangdong people out there...點呀? 食咗飯未呀? )

"Iron Monkey", a groundbreaking martial arts film to be, was still being filmed. Everyone was up to their necks in work, scenes had to be directed, stunts to be performed, it was all a lot of work. It was suffice to say that people were stressed, and yet, an understatement.

Behind the scenes especially had a lot to deal with stunts. There was one matter of filming the No Shadow kick, jumping from building to building, the Shaolin Punch, and so on. It was another to have to find stunt doubles who looked just like the actors.

"哎吔! 不過我有太多工." (My God! I have too much work to do), exclaimed the director. It was true, to him, everything seemed to be not be good enough, there was already a lot of pressure to begin with. To make things worse, Jean Wang, the actress for Miss Orchid/贺小兰, was totally off the radar. Remember, this was the 90s, you couldn't just text someone where the hell they were.

頂唔順! ("I can't stand it!") he shouted, " 你講得啱！預算係限。" ("You were right! The budget is limited."), he rambled.

A knock on the door.

"係? 有乜指教呀?" ("Yes? What can I do for you?")

"我帶咗啲特別嘢俾你。" ("I brought you something special.")

The assistant now showed him what she had just brought in. A full realistic life size mask of the absent actress, right in front of him. They finally had a solution! Anyone could just wear the mask and they could dub her in later. Brilliant! Life was good.
