Gavin sat curled up in the corner of his couch, with his math textbook tucked into his lap. He had his chin propped up on his left palm as he lazily skimmed over the text and scribbled notes onto a sheet of paper. Michael sat huddled up in the other corner, across the couch from him. His headphones were in his ears; blasting music so loud even Gavin could hear it from here. He had his legs crossed beneath him, with just his socked feet peaking out from underneath. His foot tapped slightly to the beat of the music. A few groans escaped his lips as he rubbed his forehead and temple with his index finger and thumb.
“Fuck.” Michael muttered, breaking the silence. He threw his book onto the floor and huffed, crossing his arms over his chest in frustration.
“What are you on about?” Gavin questioned without looking up from his homework.
“Who the fuck needs math anyways? Like when am I ever gonna fucking use it huh? Tell me when.” Michael’s cheeks flamed red with rage as he stared at the brit, his brown eyes fixed on his face
“Well, if you want a decent job…” Gavin whispered.
“Excuse me?” Michael crawled over to him, closing the space between them.
“Never mind…” Gavin muttered, trying to concentrate on his notes. Suddenly, Gavin’s textbook was thrown from his lap and now laid open and crumpled in the middle of the carpet.
“Bloody hell Michael! I ne-“ but before he could finish, Michael smashed his lips to Gavin, causing the brit to fall back on the couch with Michael on top of him. He felt the warmth of Michael’s hands run through his hair, and grip it tightly. Gavin moved his hands to the small of Michael’s back and tugged him closer. The American liked it rough, that was clear, the kiss all teeth and tongue. Michael bit down hard on Gavin’s lower lip and smiled, tugging on it and then releasing it from his grip. Not even a second went by before they were at it again, biting at lips and counting each other’s teeth.
Michael moved his attention to Gavin’s neck, kissing from his jaw, and nipping and sucking down his neck and on his collar bone, leaving swollen red splotches. The warmth of the American’s breath on his neck left him with goose bumps running down his arms. He hooked his fingers into the waist band of Michael’s jeans, tugging him up so they were face to face. He placed a gentle kiss on Michael’s nose, leaving him with a dumbfounded look on his face. But then he smiled.
“You’re too gentle.” He says, planting a small kiss on Gavin’s lips.

The next day Gavin arrived at Uni with his bright green creeper scarf wrapped around his neck. He held Michael’s hand as they walked about campus, looking for the engineering class. As they walked they bumped into their old friend Ray.
“What’s up with the creeper scarf? It’s like 100 degrees outside.” Ray smiled at the two as he scanned over the messily wrapped scarf. Michael beamed as he looked up at Gavin, who was blushing harshly over his cheeks.
“We were trying to do math…”
