I've been seeing a lot of drawings and fan-art circulating around deviantart of supposed 'warrior cats'.
I'm sorry but there is a LOT of room for improvement on most people's cat anatomy, myself included
People! You can do it! Strive to be better!
Whenever you're drawing a cat, use a reference!
Go out there and find pictures of REAL cats and draw from them!
That is the BEST way to improve your artwork.
ANYONE can learn to draw. It just takes practice, practice practice.
I don't believe anyone is born more talented and able to draw than anyone else in the world. Its just a case that some people have more of a drive from the start to learn how to draw from a young age and those are the people who come further ahead faster.
But its not to late to start learning! Its never too late! Everytime you draw anything you improve. Learn how to see things and draw them as they appear in life. And once you can do that, then you can start to make cartoons convincingly

Photoshop will only work if you have a mobile tablet such as Samsung Galaxy tabs, and others, but photoshop costs money. Adobe should be the producer.
If you're on PC, yeah photoshop [still produced by Adobe] will still cost money.
There are some sites that people have ripped the program on, though. For example, there's a really good version of Paint Tool SAI that I use here > www.4shared.com/zip/0wnL_UI1/Pβ¦

Thats alright, yes for paper, just reverse the order. Leave your highlights uncoloured (if you have white paper) and shade the rest in around it.Β
A good way to start once you get a tablet? Ehm. Just lots of practice. Don't expect miracles. Its a steep learning process. You will make so many mistakes and it will frustrate you. But eventually with lots and lots of practice it will become easier. You can do it!

This really helped me a lot! But, the drawing program I have doesn't have the smudge tool, is there anyway I could do the highlight of the eye without the smudge tool?

Lineart is just as the name suggests - the line around the form in a piece of art. Some people draw things lineless (where there is no lineart), but most people draw lineart first.Β

You have to purchase it, but if you're the type to want to try it out and see if it works for you, Adobe has the 30 day trail use of it as well.
