Now how did I know you were going to ask me what it is???? I do know but at the moment I can't remember. When Mam was alive, we used to talk "flowers" all the time, and I could even spout off the latin names too. But it had been so long since I was regularly speaking about flowers it's harder to remember. I will attempt to find out for you my friend.

Exactly right! Apparently Osteospermum ecklonis but the splotchy color of the petals is unusual...

Yeah, I thought maybe the splotchy petals was a problem with fertilizer or water, or something sucking on the roots like nemetodes, or funny little wasp-like that sting it or suck from it, or perhaps underneath are whiteflies dining? Truth be, it looks a bit "ravaged" -- that perhaps it has a lovely purplish blush, but it's been distorted by any number of the above. Interesting, but not completely healthy.

I wish someone would make a good movie out of "Day of the Triffids".
There is one but it's not very good, one British TV series (baaaaad), one Triffid spin-off episode of Star Trek (meh) and mebbe one other TV show about them (not the least memorable).

Yes I thought it was lovely. I know there's a similar coloured geranium called splish splash hehe. I wonder if it was a disease that actually caused the colour to go like that in the first place? But it's certainly different
