I think a garden can be always a memory of a loved one...the flowers blooming every year, so we canΒ΄t forget. But I understand, it isnΒ΄t easy to take care of a garden, itΒ΄s so much work.

Mam had a huge garden, well lots of little ones. She worked in her garden every day, for most of the day, I can't keep up with that, but it makes me sad to see it full of weeds. Gardening takes up lots of time, as you know.

We call them crocus flowers, but I think you do get saffron from the centre of the flowers, so you're right too

had never seen the purple ones grow wild ... maybe because they're
too precious because of the saffron
