About:
Fermata's first instrument she learned to play was the violin. Like her mother Octavia, Fermata always loved music but she never stayed committed to playing anything until she got older because she was too much of a perfectionist. She would get frustrated with herself if she couldn't play right and had a very sensitive ear, so any time she heard a wrong note she took it out on herself hard. As soon as Fermata realized how much she really loved playing the violin she started getting lessons from Octavia and during her first competition performance she got her cutiemark.
Fermata is the music teacher at Twilight Sparkle's school despite her young age. She also gives private violin lessons.
Fermata is very shy so she's not great at socializing with other ponies. She prefers teaching younger students because they treat her as equal instead of judging her like other ponies like to do. She has what you'd call a "bitch face" sometimes so ponies like to think she's rude and disrespectful when really she's just lost in thought most of the time.
Fermata doesn't have time for catcalling, and because of how pretty she is she gets a lot of catcalls from stallions when she visits new places. Fermata would rather be with someone who's romantic and will take her on cute dates. She's never really cared about things like gender and has several crushes on both males and females since she was young.
Fermata's parents live in Canterlot but Fermata moved back to her birth home, Ponyville, when she got the job offer to work at the school after she graduated high school. While she misses her family greatly she often travels up to visit on the weekends and even helps Rarity out with modeling shows for new product lines. Fermata has been told by several ponies on several occasions that she should become a model but Fermata doesn't feel that's something she'd be interested in doing seriously, she only does it to help her mom out.
Fermata and Octavia do music performances together and Rarity always makes them matching dresses to wear up on stage. Even though Fermata is very shy in public, when she gets up on that stage she's like a whole different pony. She loves performing her skills in front of an audience and creating beautiful music. She doesn't care about the fame she just likes to perform songs alongside her mother.
