Description Etching piece for printmaking class. This was my favorite of the etching ones I did. It's also very special because it's peeking out at our first house from the start of our hiking trail. Snow is so romantic and filled with good memories.

Let's see. I spent more time of this one because I wasn't pressed for time (no pun intended!) About 6 hours of etching with improper tools (wood carving tools ehehe oops). On plexiglass plastic sheet and pressed with the school's old press. Not too bad.

Oooh, thanks *odunze . Idk if I'll be doing anymore prints like this (hard and tedious!) but it was fun to do at the time.

Very nice! I like the limited details (it looks like that because you left a lot of white) and yet, it looks very detailed. Very nicely drawn Loom!

I wasn't sure how it was going to come out at first. I found etching to be rather difficult. But the ink looks neat in the end. Thanks, yolin!

Yayness. I attribute some of the character of the lines to incomplete print press (even though I did about ten of these trying to get the ink to lay down!!!). Though I really was going for a sort of realism without doing too much detail on buildings and stuff in the back... So yay. :>

Yeah, my bad humor is everywhere. >.> They actually cut down a lot of the trees here, but it's a lovely place indeed.

Thank you! I always loved the woods around my house...special to me...

I don't think I would ever use this techniques for comics, though. Urgh. So time-consuming to etch lines into plastic or metal (you have to imagine it all in relief too, so you can't really "see" it as you go) T_T And the actually printing part was...frustrating. I'd much rather reach for some technical pens and hatch it with plain old-fashioned ink-by-hand.
