She was a kingdom and so was he. He was known as Gilbert Beilschmidt or the Kingdom of Prussia. He was reckless and she was calm. They were the complete opposite of each other.

“Oh, [name]! Come out, frau!” Gilbert called. They were teenagers now and they were still playing hide and seek. [Name] quickly came out and tackled the Prussian.

“Gotcha!” She laughed. “You’re not as awesome as you think now!”

“What?!” Gilbert got up. “That’s a lie! I’m awesome, frau!”

“Prove it.” She stuck her tongue out and ran through the fields. Gilbert smiled to himself and ran after her. He managed to get a hold of her and finally wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Proved it.” Gilbert whispered. They both felt something. Something that is light and full of happiness. That’s what they felt… Love.

“Ich liebe, dich. My fair fraulein.” He confessed.

“I love you too, my knight.” She said.

And they both shared a kiss.

1931.

The war has begun and they were still recovering from the First World War. [Kingdom name] and The Kingdom of Prussia formed an alliance. It devastated the two of them to see people dying and war claiming innocent lives. They weren’t ready for this. They were ready for their people to unite and live their own lives with happiness and love.

“Are you ready for this?” Gilbert looked at her and then intertwined his fingers with hers.

“We don’t have any choice, right?” She smiled and looked at the sky.

“After this war, do you want to… You know…” Gilbert blushed hard. [Name] looked at him as he searched through his pockets. “Oh come on! This is so un-awesome!”

Gilbert presented a black velvet box. “Found it!”

“W-wha…” [Name] blushed.

“Will you, the awesome [Name], marry the awesome me?” Gilbert opened the box and presented a ring.

“Yes!” [Name] answered and tackled the Prussian. Gilbert smiled and hugged her. It may be the start of war, but after this suffering, they will finally be together again.

1939.

With Prussia being labeled as the birthplace of Nazism, Gilbert shrugged it all of. He couldn’t disappoint Old Man Fritz. He couldn’t disappoint [Name] as he promised her that they would unite once again. With [Name] and her kingdom fighting in the North, he was defending the East.

“One day, I’ll see you again, [Name]…” Gilbert looked at the ring in his hand. He then faced his troop and told them, “All right, men. The awesome me will of course lead the not-so-awesome you in this war. But one thing for sure is that we will win this war and return to our homes and we will celebrate it with beer. Now who’s with the awesome me?!”

The men cheered even though they are completely annoyed with the arrogance of the Prussian. Nonetheless, he was a very wise solder and he did everything for his country.

“Suum cuique! To each his own!”

1947.

Prussia and [name] stood. They were in the court, waiting for their end. They were in front of the Allied Control Council. They couldn’t blame everything on the other countries that were part of the Allies. They were friends after all. Their bosses were the ones who ruined their friendship with one another.

All they wish was for their unification and the countries are in peace again. But in every wish, they should sacrifice something as well.

We hereby proclaim Law#46, the dissolution of Prussia and [Kingdom/Country Name].

War criminals Gilbert Beilschmidt and [name] are sentenced to death, tomorrow, on the 26th day of February 1947.

After the trial was done, [name] stood with Feliciano and Kiku as Ludwig and Gilbert were talking.

“Ve~ Does that mean that we don’t have a wedding to attend?” Feliciano hugged [name].

[Name] laughed and hugged Feliciano back, “It’s alright. Don’t be sad, Feli. I’m going to watch over you guys anyway.”

Both [Name] and Gilbert requested that they see each other on the night of February 25. They were both wed in front of a minister with Ludwig, Kiku, Feliciano as their witnesses. They didn’t sleep, instead, they chose to be with each other in their remaining hours.

They went to the field where they are going to be shot. They weren’t terrified at all. Instead, they kept silent and they knew that they would be reunited in the afterlife. Instead of wearing a frown with their hands tied and eyes blindfolded, they both kept a smile.

“Ready!”

“Aim!”

“Fire!”

They both fell into their knees. Ludwig and Feliciano cried. The other countries cursed. The Allies felt bad as to why their bosses convicted them onto something that they didn’t do. They weren’t war criminals but they only defended their countries.

Ludwig picked his brother’s body, while Feliciano picked up [name]’s body. They both arranged their bodies into their respective beds and the other countries pushed them into the sea.

“I guess… My brother is happy now, isn’t he?”

“Ve~ He really is. That’s true love, isn’t it.”

“Hai. I agree. They both taught us a wonderful lesson.”

Ludwig saw a vision of [Name] and Gilbert as he looked in the sky. They were both running in the fields like little kids. He smiled at their sight. With [Kingdom/country name] and Prussia have been dissolved but they are now part of history. [Name] and Gilbert will forever watch over their country friends as well… With their love as their inspiration of course.
