I really enjoyed it. I think Aggie's mother should've been one of the local ghosts.

well, did they hang her mother too?
(and maybe she already was free to leave off to the 'better place' "without cable" xD )

hm...
I like the part where he's doing that play and he sees the sign (the owl and the illusion he's running away in the forest) and he screams "THE DEAD ARE COMING!!"
and he runs and falls off stage xD I LOVE the way they animated that scene.
and I also liked the part where the plot rises when he's in that flash back and he sees the 'witch' (Agatha) and he realizes/learns of what the judge and the people had done back then..
that was tragic and surprising...
those have to be my favorite parts xD
do you have any?

UUUGGHHH EWWW GROSSSSSS
when he tried to get the book from his Uncle's hands!! EWWWW XD
(lol if that bully would have come in any sooner, he would probably have thought Norman was getting raped or something xD)
yeah. I felt really bad for Aggie.
D,: she was hanged at such a young age and her mother is gone too...
I wouldn't be able to forgive those idiots either, but I have to agree a bit with Norman as well.
they're just scared jerks who don't understand you.
and when people are scared, they want to eliminate the source of fear...
its sad what people can do sometimes :/
especially back then.
I would probably be considered a witch back then too because of my blonde hair, attitude, style of dress, and art ability.
(especially in asian countries. they'd think I'm a witch even more so than someone from the old US would)

Ahahaha!! I think that whole scene was the funniest thing in the film, by far. That would've been awkward as hell if Alvin showed up by then.
But no, Norman gets squashed by a body and is tongue-slimed instead. Poor kid.
I agree with you. At least with Norman's compassion and understanding, she was hopefully able to pass on and be with her mother again.
She's been through enough. I would fine it difficult to forgive the zombies as well, but like you said, Norman knew how to look at the situation in the right direction.
And even as I remember the third act again, I remember how close to real-life it is, with the film's message about bullying.
Aggie was a good example of what happens to anyone when they consume themselves with hate.
They become just as bad as the people who hurt them, or they can be something worse.
Then there's Norman, who I think symbolizes the will and courage that everyone has to break that endless cycle of bullying.
The amount of people who would be considered witches back then is astounding...
And although it's a gruesome thought, I agree, and wouldn't be surprised either if you or me were considered witches at that time period.

yeah...
if only we could have every bully watch that movie and make them understand their actions.... if only... ) :
with all the movies and stories about bullying, people still do it. its sad that no one understands :/
I wish I could be like Norman though xD
even though I'm weird, I've never seen ghosts or believed in anything Paranormal before. (besides aliens, I count those as science though)
his weirdness is at the point of coolness <3
but me, I'm just weird xD

I've never seen a ghost, and I don't think I completely believe in them...
that's why when I die, I want to die in an interesting place and see if my soul still stays there... xD
it'd be an interesting experiment. xD

exactly is was all aggies fault too for turning on all those pilgrims and all too she lied by saying "i didn't do anything wrong" *heh reality check she really did* the book was the only way to send her to sleep then that special something amazing happened something she wanted to know about before she went back to heaven

NicktoonsSquad In reply to pimpaladettesdude [2012-08-18 22:15:06 +0000 UTC]
I don't see it as Aggie's fault. In Norman's words, "She was just a kid". She didn't know better. In her mind, she was only playing while she spoke to the dead but in the citizens' eyes, it was a crime.
The zombies were the ones at fault, and they payed for it by being cursed. But the problem didn't stop there. Because of her gift, Aggie wasn't like everyone else.
Her anger turned into something terrible and it continued for the next 3 centuries. The book was to be read to her once a year to keep her asleep.
Prenderghast and his ancestors have been doing this for 300 years. Since then, Aggie's rage/the problem continued to get bigger, until she was possibly at her worst when Norman came along.
Then, instead, Norman talked to her. It took understanding and assurance to move Aggie from that vicious cycle.

okay i understand your point now yeah aggie was a bit of a mental case in a way when her anger coninued and she became that evil witch thing your right it was the zombies fault it was all just a mistake (*stupid people thinking they were actually going to eat there brains and s*** and kill em too* ) effing idiots

NicktoonsSquad In reply to pimpaladettesdude [2012-08-18 23:10:11 +0000 UTC]
... Not a mental case either. Don't forget that the film concentrated on bullying, and the effects afterwards. I'm sure you would feel the same way she did if people hurt you badly.
Aggie is a representation of what many kids wish they would do to people who hurt them.
Norman shows the strength everyone has to brush off, or stand up to bullies.
But, he turns the tables because he helps Aggie understand her situation, and how firing back won't change anything.
Even Norman says that she spent so long remembering the bad people, that she had forgotten the good ones. One of them being her mother.
She was accused because she was not like everyone else. She was killed because she was different.
ParaNorman showed us how terrible a situation can end up if people don't help or understand the other. All it takes is someone to break that cycle of bullying.
And in realty, it's something we had, or have to overcome.

yeah really DX
there were a lot of tourists around the mall with the theater in it though for some odd reason.
O.o
there were 3 groups I noticed, some were old-timers, then there was an asian group, and then there was a group of retarded people.
the retarded people came into the theater, but they sat in front, and surprisingly they were a lot more well-behaved and understanding than the 10-year olds sitting in the back row. O.o
