Hello all you Beckers out there (and the rest of you, of course) So now the Mighty No. 9 project funding month has gone by, and it sure was great I must say.So last night to finish the kickstarter campain the guys over at Comcept had an ending live stream, and in it we got to see the design of Mighty No. 4! So of course I had to sprite him, and here we go.
I couldn't get anything better done with the jaw unfortunately, and I just couldn't make his excavator-shovel-hands look decent in any other pose for the time being.
For some reason I think of Disney's Pete when I look at this guy, the big hulking menace with a set of big teeth

A huge improvement.
I love the sprite work and all the battles are really fun imo.
How the designs of Mno9 looked was never a problem (the 3D art style ruined the graphics of the original game still)
So I am glad that they were given a new chance in Burst.
Give Mno9 a better team and I would give a new game in the series a fair chance.

The only thing that disappointed me is that the world in the game was just a matrix rip-off and all the bosses were basically just computer programs/viruses. But I like that all playable characters had their own little twist on the story.

To be honest, I think of Gutsman when I look at that guy's face. Even the body fits for a Mighty No. 9 version of Gutsman.

I know it's not really Gutsman, but the guy looks so similar in my opinion. After all, he was made by Gutsman's creator, who also created Megaman and Beck. But hey, that's just how I think.

Also, here's a funny story. Prior to this guy's design being revealed, I assumed Mighty No. 4 looked almost like a sumo wrestler after I looked at his silhouette.

An earth based sumo wrestler would be nice, but it sounds to similar to another existing series, not neccesarily a game series
