Jinx (blue-hooded velveteen) & Twitch (black-hooded) were brothers and best buddies...until Twitch suddenly developed a huge tumor on his abdomen right before their first birthday and had to be put to sleep - it grew over night and became golfball-sized within 2-3 days. After the vet checked him out, she assured us that he only had a few days left & that putting him to sleep would be best for him. It was a very hard call to make, especially since he was my 10 year old’s and she loved him so.
