Basically this is Lord Shiva's cosmic dance as Nataraja.Β CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research has this statue of Lord Shiva as Nataraja.Β As a plaque alongside the statue explains, the belief is that Lord Shiva danced the Universe into existence, motivates it, and will eventually extinguish it. Carl Sagan drew the metaphor between the cosmic dance of the Nataraj and the modern study of the 'cosmic dance' of subatomic particles.

This is so intense! Truly one of THE best art pieces I have seen on DA ever. There is just so much attention to every little detail and it flows well together. The colors are vibrant and mesmerizing! You have truly captured the divine state of enlightened consciousness! Only one thing I would suggest about this picture that caught my attention is that the face appears very simplified in comparison to everything else. It stands out just a bit as a photograph and not rendered with such rich details as the rest. Just a thought and It is only my opinion. Thanks for making such beautiful artwork!
