[chuckles] It's an old folk song. The girl it talks about is named 'Flora', so the title along with the painting itself, immediately made me think of it. The particular song version I was thinking of is the one by Peter, Paul, and Mary, re-named 'Flora'. Definitely a good song to look up if you're a fan of folk music.

i can already see this creature sweeping through the air above a hilly landscape at the beginning of spring, calling all the green and flowers to wake. very pretty.

This artwork is really beautiful.
The color choice is great, I love how you kept the whole picture in this fresh green tones by still adding a few other colors. It gives the picture something relaxing and calm.
The griffin is awesomely drawn and the expression in his or her eyes has something noble and gracious.

I really like this series you have here. With the ripped paper and overall color. Even the background the paper is on sets it off nicely. I especially like this one. The lighting and pops of color in the flowers are just wonderful!

This is just beautiful! It reminds me of the art nouveau portraits that blend woman with nature. The whole colour scheme is very suble with accents of rich colour that really bring it to life.
