Description
I started drawing this a long time ago and finally finished it for my brother's wall. Ish Soma with a cross and sword. It's kind of drab and I know I should have put more contrast in the deep shadows of his coat, but I was doin it with my marker and I was horrified at the prospect of ruining it
I guess I could have done it in photoshop, but I was tired of it. Maybe I still will, but for now y'all get this version ^_^

I don't think you should ever color this! It's perfect the way it is! His pose and expression are awesome, they add perfectly to the overall feel of the picture. Very exquisite detail, and the only critique I would add is that the coat and his pants would look better if they had some more variations in line width.. But then again, I suppose you already said that at the top.
Anyway, great job, as always.

I think it is great like it is. The black and white contrast works fine without βgreyβ shadows. For someone who canβt draw people (according to you) I must say the proportions are excellent and his face is spotless

you know, I dun think it would be much different... I mean, he's white, his hair is white, his coat is white, only his pants have color. O.o;; it would end up being very diffused, not that that's bad. Perhaps I should turn it into a coloring experiment.

Absolutely brilliant, you've managed to make all of him look so realistic.
You say you did this with a marker? You mean like a ball-point pen or what, because those details are really small and proffessionally done. The texture of the fur is outstanding, it's undeniable as to what material it is.
His face and eyes espeically are stunning, it's a lot like manga but it has something more artistic to it as well.. His hair is cool too.
And the way his cloak/coat is flowing out towards the left looks wonderful, simple yet amazing composition.
The cross-motif is good as well, the small one he has in his hand as opposed to the form of a cross made by the sword. he isn't holding that sword very securely by the way, it's going to slip!

*blink* I almost didn't think this was yours *laughs* Not used to you drawing people. Anyway I rather like this, the little details in the way the cloth is draped, the sense that if that jacket was on all the way, he'd look, well heavier, but then the flash of a long lean frame because of the pose. *nods* I like it.
