Mari walked down the barn isle in awe. It was built a lot like her own Vienna Farms back home, but there was no indoor arena. After leaving the academy, she decided to head to her home here to see what it was like. And it was perfect. Her family owned a horse farm and trained horses as ninja companions. Dozens of horses spotted the pastures or lounged in their stalls. They were all of the same breed, since they all had a similar build. A sign above the barn office said "Home of the Konoha Warmblood."

"Ah. So that's what they're called." Mari examined them closely. They had a thick warmblood-like build with a high set head and thick neck almost like a friesian. They were interesting and beautiful. She caught sight of a basket of apples and grabbed one as she headed out towards the paddocks. The first horse she saw made her stop short in her path and freeze. In one of the farthest paddocks was a dark brown body with a flaxen mane and tail. She started to walk towards the paddock, and she noticed four whit legs, a large blaze, and a spot on her belly and neck.

The minute the horse heard the gate being unlatched, she threw her head up and spun around, beginning to walk towards whoever was coming. However, the moment she laid eyes on Mari the mare froze. They stared at each other for a few moments before Mari began slowly walking towards the mare. Once she was beside the mare, Mari gently scratched her forehead. The moment they touched, the mare unfroze. She nickered and sniffed Mari's face before noticing what was in her hands. The mare licked the apple, and Mari laughed. "Oooh so you want the food." Mari offered it to her and the mare ate it in one bite. "Hey! Slow down!" Mari exclaimed, laughing and patting her on the shoulder. The mare snorted and shook her head before nudging Mari in the shoulder. "Sorry. That was my only one." Mari patted her one last time and turned to leave the paddock, but as she walked away, the mare followed her. Mari turned around to look at the mare and smiled. "Seems you like me." She patted the mare on the neck.

"Seems you've formed a bond with that horse." An unfamiliar voice made Mari spin around. Standing at the gate was a beautiful young woman who looked no older than thirty-five years old. For some reason, she recognized her as her mother.

You may not have memories of this world, but your body does.

And just like that the voice was back.

"Uhh. Hi....Mom. You scared me." Mari said after a brief panicky feeling came over her. Her mother smiled and laughed softly. "Seems so. You know, you've seen that horse so many times, but I guess it took a bit to connect the bond between you two." Mari nodded, pretending to know what her mother was talking about. Her mother laughed. "Remember? These horses form bonds with ninja, but they can only bond with the one person destined to be their companion." Mari smiled. "Yeah. I forgot."

"Well, you couldn't have picked a better horse to bond with. She's the only foal from your dad's horse and mine." Mari seemed to remember that her parent's horses were the best ninja horses in the surrounding countries. Her clan was known for their horses. "Thank yoooooooou body!" she thought, thankful for the random bits of info coming to her for memories she had no idea about. She found it odd that she had only been coming to this dimension for a week or two, yet her body had been here for many years. "Oh well. No point wondering about it." she thought. Her mother waved goodbye and headed to a paddock with a bright flaxen chestnut mare and slipped her halter on before leading her back to the barn.

Mari picked up the mare's halter and slipped it over her head, then led her out of the gate."Ok. Let's do this."
