Description
The theme of this Sunday fish sketch was busy fish, and this came to my mind instantly; seems rather busy of a life to spend cleaning bigger fish from parasites in the fish equivalent of a car-wash, but Labroides dimidiatus does exactly that. Feeding on the parasites, this fish frees bigger fish from their pestilences, something the bigger fish seem to appreciate due to their behavior of patiently waiting for L. dimidiatus to end their cleaning. This species often enters the mouth and gills of bigger beings to feed on remains and parasites, and I even found some divers getting their teeth researched by these fearless little guys. Just like the fish, I got really busy this week, drawing almost a shark a day - something that really stretched my gnoggins and made me really tired at the end (but totally worth it I love drawing sharks). Hence why the sketch seems kinda crude and doesn't have a reef behind the fish, it was just a quickie afterall
I have more fish planned for this new week as well as fanart and the start of my 2022 project, and I still am having classes and tasks and a job, so I'll rest while I can before getting busy.. again
