Mizudako-chan, from the currently-in-production manga Mizudako-chan kara nigerarenai, is a petite schoolgirl with two massive tentacles growing out of her head, as well as smaller tentacles on the back of the head. So far, to my knowledge, a single chapter has been released, akin to a pilot, in japanese, which will be linked below for those of you who want to check it out. I believe there is potential to the story, and I quite like her design, hence I made a fanart of Mizudako-chan!

About the art itself, I tried out some new stuff, like new coloring techniques and lineart game to figure something for my anime girl style. As this was a drawing intended for these specific challenges, which certainly provided some interesting results, I took the coward's route and abused my ability to cut off hands and feet from the art. They usually take too much time in sketching, and I'm intended to draw something else this weekend, so I decided to go by the easier route. At the end, I ended up learning not only useful shortcuts and techniques but also spotted some of my current limitations, which I intend on targeting soon in order to progress.
