Description
Every once in a while, Hideyoshi puts a few more hours into his paintings.Neglectfully, he paints away without proper planning and concept, hiding a boring base in eyecandy detail and colors.
Then he regrets that he did and submits it to DA anyway b̶̶e̶̶c̶̶a̶̶u̶̶s̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶h̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶t̶̶h̶̶i̶̶n̶̶k̶̶s̶̶ ̶̶h̶̶e̶'̶s̶̶ ̶̶c̶̶o̶̶o̶̶l̶̶.̶

no 3D base (except for the 3 main buildings), I was struggling with making the boring composition work. There are some scale issues and most of the building design is rather generic.

I wish I had the patience to spend a few more hours on my painting so I can be a cool kid that goes yeahhhh with my generic rocks and generic trees on generic land...

This is an amazing work. The choice of dark, cool colors reminds me of a dystopian future controlled by megacorporations, just like in many works of cyberpunk literature. I can see the small flaws you mentioned, but I still think its quality is well above the average dA stuff, including (obviously) mine. I can see that as an artist, you always strive to improve, but there is no such thing as complete perfection in art since the ancient greeks. Plus imperfect things are way more interesting and unique. Anyways, I read in many of your works you implement 3d models and paint on them to get a convincing effect. What program do you use and in which occasions do you advise so? Sorry for the long comment, I always try to get useful advice from professionals
