Description
Some more BioniTRON, a bad guy this time. Well, more like the bad guy.Finally I managed to make a clean, detailed drawing.
I wanted to add some more details like grid-textured damaged parts, a shadow, a background... Oh well.
Just like for Takanuva, the thing on his left arm is a cesta , a weapon featured in the first TRON movie.

If I remember correctly, "Masuta" is japanese for "Master". Is it coincidence that his name is so similar to this word? I'm guessing that the creators of Bionicle did a bit of research for a number of things like this.

It is more curious, fascinating, and breath-taking that I've discovered a possible etymology of the word "Teridax"
Firstly, we would agree that Makuta would consider himself the Ruler of the World. We, if not most of us, will know that the modern Latin translation of the word ''Earth'' is ''Terra'', and further, the translation of the word ''ruler/leader'' is ''dux'' which is related to the English title of ''Duke'' which is still used in the British arristocracy.
We must make a compound, albeit with English rather than Latin grammar, a compound word which results in ''Terradux''. Then, with vowel shifts as are common with many languages that exist for more than a few centuries, the 'e' and 'a' swap, the 'rr' shortens, and the 'u' becomes an 'a'.
So, ''Terradux'' which means 'Ruler of Earth/World'' becomes ''Teridax''. So, Makuta Teridax is, Makuta, ruler of the world.

Yeah it's very likely, they also used a lot of Maori words if I recall correctly. The fact that Mata Nui was actually the island itself had been hinted all along, for example Mangai means mouth, and Ihu means nose (Mount Ihu and Mangai Volcano are places on the island).
Japanese words work well for TRON in my opinion, I could see Makuta being named "Masuta" in the digital world

Heyyyy you saw the first TRON too!! Well I shouldn't be surprised really. I love this!! Weapons from both movies. The grid lines are wonderfully done on him here
