I want to see the NL before I die. It's one of my life goals, actually.

I got interested RIGHT AFTER the solar minimum started. So I have to wait for another few years. I'm in New York State, so I'm not getting a light show for a while. *sigh*

I can wait. Beautiful images.

i have 2 questions about the northern lights. do the lights actually move fast, slow or moderate speed? and does it make a noise? cos ive heard that it does, and then again, also heard that it doesnt

Actually the northern lights can move both fast or slow and I don't know what the speed depends on. I don't think it makes any noise at least not a noise I could hear at that time. I'm not an expert but this is what I know from my own experience, hope it answered your questions

try the aurora austrialis. you are nearer. its not as commonly talked about though, cos you have to actually go onto the continent antartica to see it.
