Description Bday pic

enjoyed her varied portrayals of feminine strength, and have always inspired some my art in creating a sorta majesty and confidence in terms of theme and mood.

But also saw the fun and cheeky and sexeh side to things.

So wanted to try something lovey dovey with this one while spicing it up abit...

Soo worked with Gem and Kate on this one

Ah sorry for teh late response, lessee

From your artwork so far you are doing nicely, good understanding of form and teh basics. To improve on your art though. I'd have to ask what do you wish to go towards? Theres alot to do in art, so the more focused you are the better i can help.

If its anatomy, i can give you some links and pointers. But do you wish to improve on lineart or paints. Anatomy etc etc.

For now im gonna assume you want to draw more awesomer muscle pics soo....

I'd suggest finding a good anatomy book. This one was a good starter for me. Go browse your local bookstore for others as well. But for now this is a good step up.

Burn hogarth
[link]

Also im reading this one righ tnow; its more pratical
[link]

The basic idea is that when we start we should build from real life anatomy first. Its a bit scary to do so at first but its an important step. The book breaks down teh muscle groups so u can get a better idea of form. Muscles are complicated but u can really break em down into specific groups and play with em. IT just requires pratice.

Nother thing is if your not drawing and learning regularly...do so NOW!
again any art tips u read, its practice practice practice

[link]
so i'd recommend this site, its like what art students do when they do figure studies in studios. Start with a minute or so. It teach you to grasp teh basic forms and not get stuck in detail.

But yes some tips:
-This is the basic process we learn to move up to as artist. building the pose, then moving up to anatomy an muscle groups and finally detailing.

-be observant, see how the muscle groups move and flow, know teh range of movement on teh human body etc.

-dont give up, keep a sketch book and practice like alot, be aware of how your anatomy moves when posing a character.

-learn as you go, don't worry about doing the best now, or having all of it down. I learnt anatomy as i kept drawing. Getting improvements as i went, because seriously theres alot to learn D: . So its about the journey not the destination.

And faces mmm, if you like anime style just copy an artist u like Xd... thats what i did. If u want more realistic...read that burn hogarth book.

anways wish you luck, you've got a good gallery going, just keep working and growing and improving alrigh!!

Stumbled upong the post, so thought I'd share a tidbit. I learnt about anatomy from a booklet that was similar to George Bridgman's Contructive Anatomy .

And thanx for creating characters with interesting elements and interactions, this helps any artist fan piece to really shine when the dynamics are in place to have fun and bounce around ideas with a character.

I've tried very hard to advance my skill sets to be able to do things i wish with my art and grateful for your support and guidance. I hope to start to create fun, moody and emotive pieces. Also look forward to seeing you continue creating those same pieces that i do so admire.

As for the smexah touch, i had a good tutor

lovely choice and use of color and texture! the deep hues and soft glow of light emphasize the characters' poses and help give the scene an impressive sense of emotion it's quite touching!

aww, thanx

Really wanted to create something warm and inviting for Mika's characters, esp with the thoughtful backstories given to them.

So something romantic was needed for this piece. Thanx for noticing ^^
