Description
The "smoke" rising above the horizon is actually dust. The wind was gusting to about 40 mph and there was a dirt road running along the power lines. The lightning bolt is mediocre, but that's the only time I've caught dust like that.Related content

I think its a wonderful picture.
You might be able to tweak it a little but its a good catch regardless.

I've tried tweaking it a little, but that particular bolt never gets that impressive, and this seems to show off the dust the best (to me anyway). Really, the dust is the only thing I like about this shot - I've caught far better bolts.
