As i understand you wanted a photo of the crowd crossing the street. However your composition and technique draw teh attention away from the people towards the back of you photo. I don't get the idea that the people are the message of your shot. Vision: 3/5
This is a streetshot, which there are a lot of. Originality: 3.5/5
Technique: Composition-wise, you've kept the people at a lower third, however the lines in your shot (the street itself, the buildings and their windows) all lead strongly backward and not to the people.
This pull towards the back is even made more strong by the bright sky. Viewers look for the thing that jumps out in a photo. In a b/w it's usually the brightest part.. which is the sky. And above all that, although you used f3.3, it looks here as if there is not a lot of sharpness lost towards the back. These 3 elements all draw the attention away from the people.
Maybe getting a stronger difference in sharpness between back-and foreground, making the contrast among the people stronger (so you get points of attention here as well) would help out.
Technique: 3/5
Overall i have to say i like the shot, because while it doesn't get my attention towards the people, i like the shot for its streetview. It's a balanced composition with a nice look through the street. So while not the intented view by you, for me its impact is still a 4/5.

Love Manhattan, been a few years since I have been there but this brings back the grittyness which makes this city stick in my heart!
