My mask is made out of chicken wire as the bottom, which I modeled over my head to get a good size and fit. Then I covered the base with pulp and slips of newspaper, the slips glued over the surface with wallpaper paste (which with the pulp was made as well.) so that I was able to have a smooth yet light result. It was also easy to paint over after it had dried. Hope this is of help to you, and you'll have fun with your costume as well!

The wings, though, are actually the only thing I did not make myself for the costume due lack of time, they're merely bought from a local masquerade shop.
