"Sometimes, I feel like the world is out to get me."

This is my Hetalia OC. She represents The Republic of the Union of Myanmar (or Known as Burma).

I had a hard time decided on a country, so I chose Myanmar. Plus, I didn't see much love for this country. (To be honest I did my research. Oh boy.)

Anyways here are some Facts about Myanmar (Burman). A brief History, if I listed everything it'd be too long. orz.

Human Name: Nyunt (But people in her country address her as Daw Nyunt, Daw is a honorific meaning "Aunt" or "Ms.") (And from what I gathered, Nyunt means "blossom", but I'm not sure.)

Myanmar is actually quite old, early settlements date back to 13,000 years to present time. She doesn't like talking about her age though.

In her early years, Myanmar had the largest Empire in Southeast Asia History. She was at her happiest, her people were happy and despite some border issues, things were the greatest. However after 6 decades, Myanmar went to war with her Neighbors.

She shortly fell to England's rule soon after. (If you can't see it, her eyebrows thicken slightly then thin out, because she was occupied by England for quite sometime.)

During that time, England brought several enduring social, economic, cultural and administrative changes that completely transformed the once-feudal society. England's rule also highlighted out-group differences among the country's myriad ethnic groups.

Since the independence in 1948 Myanmar has been in one of the longest running civil wars and it still remains unresolved. She has been under military rule under various guises since 1962 and because of that she has become one of the least developed nations in the world.

Personality; Myanmar is very isolated and is considered an "isolated" nation. She used to be very happy and outgoing at the Peak of her empire, but since then she has withdrawn herself. Myanmar does not like to receive help and has been going far on as refusing help or aid from other Nations.

She has a slight temper and won't hesitate to be aggressive, she's very serious and won't back down from a challenge. Myanmar is very sensitive about her government and is doing her best to help her people. She is paranoid and sometimes feels like the world is out to get her.

Foreign Relations; Nyunt's strongest relationships are with Russia and China. They have occasionally protected against UN attempts on Myanmar. Although, China is trying to help reform her democracy.

Ireland is also a good friend of Myanmar and is supporting the Burmese people for Democracy and Human rights.

The relationship between U.S. are quite strained. Because of serious religious freedom and violations of Human rights the U.S. has dropped relations from ambassadors to Charge D'affaires. Relationships are still strained but they're getting slightly better.

France and Myanmar go back to the 18th century and had great relations. However during the French Revolution, France couldn't be there when England invaded Myanmar and lost communication. After WWII they started to talk again.

Thailand and Myanmar share a love-hate relationship, they've had many border disputes and wars against each other. Though Thailand and Myanmar have returned back to normal. They still fight from time to time though.

North Korea and Myanmar met on odd terms when North Korea tried to take out South Korea's president when he had visited Myanmar. She suspended talking from him for quite sometime before he visited her. Relationships are normal, but there have been some secret tunnels going on.

Other Facts; +Because of Myanmar's poor Economy and Health Care system, Myanmar is prone to getting sick rather often.

+Myanmar doesn't have a set place to live, instead she travels around her country and lives in a different city each month. She plants Padauk near the home after her month living there is up.

+Myanmar once had a drug problem when she was growing up. Even though her country still deals with Opium and Heroine, she steers clear from it. She is considered sober.

+Nyunt respects Aung San Suu Kyi very much. She was however devastated when she had to put her under house arrest and was upset when Aung San was assassinated.

+Nyunt wears Thailand's national flower in her hair, when pressed about it she doesn't say anything and just keeps silent.

+Nyunt also has a split personality. This personality appeared early on when her country fell into Chaos. Her Split personality is very cruel and doesn't regard much for Human life. Because of her Country's poor state, this personality is harder to repress.

+She wears the National League for Democracy banner around her right arm. While she is sensitive about her corrupted government. She wants her country to improve and get better.

+Myanmar also has many scars on her arms and a couple of burn marks. She wears long sleeves and a long skirt to cover these scars. She finds them embarrassing.
