I'm agree with you about it's easy make relationships in anyone of cases and I understand that can bother you (if you recived too much). However, sometimes the script and scenes in movies make easy flyes imagination in this way.
I don't read the book and when saw the movie around... 4-5 years, the draw wasn't made in this intention.
Answering in your second question, all obsesions (how see yaoi/yuri in every movie/book/comic/etc.) could be not good, but it's amusing imagine your favourites characters in other alternatives relationships/reality.
It's only my point of view.

Me encanta como has dibujado a los personajes, la verdad es que me enamore de ellos nada mas leer sobre esta trilogia y la pelicula termino de enamorarme, ya me muero por ver mas xDDDDD Aunque ya se como acaba todo y eso xD Pero da igual!!!

Es que la peli no acaba igual que el libro, en el libro a Dustfinger no lo devuelve Mo al libro, eso pasa en el segundo libro y no es Mo quien lo devuelve al libro xD
