Unsure of what's going on. Unsure of how I'm moving. I'm so confused. What's going on?

Thoughts the same as these kept running through your head as you kept walking the halls of your high school. Nothing seemed to make sense anymore.

One minute you were plodding happily down this hall you're aimlessly walking down now, the next you lost all feeling in your being.

You thought of asking someone for help, to make sense for these sudden attacks that happen randomly. Yet you didn't ask. Heck you didn't even know why you didn't ask for help. You could ask the cool kid Dave, or bubbly Jade, or the seemingly dark Rose, or even that derpy nerd John.

You stopped in your tracks and sigh, half way down the hall. You have good friends, a good family, and other good things. So why was this happening?

"Hey ___!" A voice rang in your ears, snapping you out of your thoughts.

You looked up to see none other than the derpy nerd himself, John Egbert.

"Hey John." You spoke casually.

"Is there something wrong? You were zoning out back there." John questioned.

"It's nothing. Just thinking." You stated simply.

John's face turned a bit confused, he bit his bottom lip with his buck teeth. "If you say so…"

The two of you stared at each other for a moment in silence. A light blush crept onto your cheeks. And yes, you do have a crush on this derpy nerd.

"D-do you want to walk home with me?" You suggested.

"Sure." John smiled.

You and John walked side by side out of the hallway and to the front entrance of the school.

"Are you sure you're ok, ___? You can tell me!" John asked again, concerned.

A twang of guilt shot into your gut, "I'm fine little Egderp." You said jokingly.

"I don't think Dave will be too happy when he figures out you called me that." John chuckled.

"And why would he be mad again? I forgot."

"You know he likes to call me that!"

You laughed. John's presence slowly healed you as the two of you joked around with each other. That was what truly made you love John.

The two of you finally reached your house. A feeling of sadness filled your chest as you finally had to part with John for the day.

You looked at him as he made an awkward smile, "It looks like I gotta go now." He said.

"Bye ___." John said.

"… Bye John." You croaked out.

You continued to look at him as he turned and walked down the sidewalk from where you two had come. Soon enough he'd turn the corner, and soon he'd be gone. Not being able to see him until next week.

Your heart started beating faster and faster the farther John had gotten away from you. You couldn't take it anymore.

So you ran. You jumped onto John's back, startling him. He turned around to face you and you quickly shoved your head into his chest.

"___...?"

"I-I actually have something to confess…" You started.

You lifted your head to look into John's eyes, his glasses reflecting the afternoon sunlight.

"I-I… I keep on losing feeling in my body John… And I don't know why it's happening… It won't stop! A-and I'm scared…" You whimpered, shoving your face back into his green slime logoed T-shirt.

John breathed a sigh. He placed a hand on top of your head and another on your waist, pulling you closer to him. There was silence as he held you.

"So that was what was bothering you?" He chuckled finally.

"Y-yeah… Don't make fun of me!" You started playfully hitting his chest with balled fists in embarrassment.

"Heheh, sorry."

"You're mean Egderp…" You muttered.

"Yeah, I know. I love you too." John replied.

Then his body tensed up. Your eyes went wide. He never said that before to you when he was joking with you. You looked up at his face to see it red.

"I-ignore what I just said!" He yelled frantically.

Yet you ignored his plea," You love me?"

John stared into your eyes, he swallowed and nodded. "Yeah."

A big grin plastered itself onto your face, "I love you too, Egderp."
