It was supposed to be dark gray but my scanner made it rust colored... anyways...

This is for 's Legendary Evolution contest... though it pretty much reeks of fail.

Skarustory is, well, an evolution of Skarmory. Its rusty state will be explained...

Skarustory
Rusted Bird Pokemon

Height: 7'10
Weight: 220 lbs

Type: Steel/Flying

Story: An young, bold Skarmory, weak and weary from lack of food and rest, was flying over a large ocean in search of somewhere to rest when something lurking in the depths of the dark waters attacked. A large spout of water struck the Skarmory's underbelly, causing the Pokemon to crash into the sea. The unforgiving sea swallowed it up, never to be seen again.

Thousands of years passed, and the family of the Skarmory gave up on his return during that time before dying off. One day, a descendant of the Skarmory's family was hunting around and spotted a strange blemish against the stone gray mountains in which the youngster's family resided. It was the Skarmory who had gone missing, body battered into something tougher and fiercer looking than any Skarmory seen before by the constant pressure of the water. The salt had rusted out its color, but had not taken away the strength from its body. It became something more than Skarmory... it had turned into Skarustory.

Many rumors circulate around the Pokemon's existence, as it rarely shows itself to humans. It will, however, attack any threatening foes that trespass into its territory or try to attack its family. Skarustory is agile and strong, using its extreme aerial speed to dive bomb foes and then slash at them with sharp, flat feathers lighter than air. Skarustory feathers are valuable beyond belief, but as it is extremely rare, very few have been found.

Taming Skarustory is not easy, as it became fierce and distrusting of any life. One must show incredible patience and prove to the Pokemon they are strong enough to wield its power.

*shrug* I went through several Pokemon trying to make an evolution, and Skarmory has needed one for a long time. x)
