Sam~ My oldest character who I still use; I've had her for one and a half years, but I've only ever uploaded one thing with her in it on here... She's a character I use in a roleplay on Ichikai, a forum I've been part of for several years now, I'm pretty sure <3This here is the first picture I ever drew of her, and the most recent picture I've drawn of her. It's nice to go back and look at how much you've improved once in a while, I think.

It's always pretty wild looking at how character designs change. It's kind of interesting to look back and see what you got right, though.

A "monkey/dog relationship"? I have to say I find their disagreements rather fun though. Honestly though, she'd like him more if he didn't slick back his hair, just that alone pisses her off xD

One of my favourite things about your art is the way you shade faces <3 it's really brilliantly done, giving it life and feeling and all awesome stuff. Also the expression, like mid-movement, alksjdkf, SO good. <3
I don't have many problems at all with this picture o: The only thing that jumps out at me is the shadow on her right shoulder (so the left one)is really flat and straight and kinda disrupts the piece... also, the shading around that shoulder seems a little peculiar, too.

Thanks Ecm C: Faces are one of the areas I put a lot of effort into, so I'm glad it shows through. You're totally right about the shading, I'm surprised I didn't see that. Buuut I'm too lazy to fix xD Still, I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Well, sure it's an old drawing, but it's still got that obvious quality in it that makes it 'good'. I guess it's just the glimmer of what's to come, hey?
