Close Up of the Bomb Bay and cockpit. You can see the Norden Bomb Sight just at the point of the two-piece plexy glas that composed the nose of the A-26C. The Navigator/Bombardier had an access way to the nose from the cockpit. A small jump seat was located slightly behind the pilot's seat on the left. In my illustration the Navigator/Bombardier officer is sitting on that jump seat.
It took me quite a long time to gather the necessary info to complete the drawing for this illustration. I finally got a copy of the Maintenance Manual. I got lucky because the only remaining B-26 in the Chilean Air Sapace Museum is a B-26B with guns in it's nose.
The A or B 26 Invader is one of the most beautifull planes I have ever seen.
