You'll have to download to see full size, apologies!I have no freaking idea why I made this thing horizontal, sorry. My goal was to get some practise in on Painter and I literally just typed in a random pixel number and went with it.
So, um. What's basically happening here (in this random thing I threw together because I thought it'd be nice to draw a girl for a change) is Mary has discovered Watson's VERY PRIVATE JOURNAL OMGZ in which he talks about his DEVIANT UNNATURAL LOVE FOR HOLMES about which MARY MUST NEVER KNOW because she would be QUITE INCAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING.
I imagine she suspected anyway and in the 3rd panel is asking what kind of moron he thought she was, and in the last panel, well... Watson: "GASP!"
Whether Watson and Holmes have got it on in a deviant, unnatural manner or if this is all in Watson's head is entirely up to the reader.
Pardon the caps and general WTFness, am sleep-deprived.
(That's my excuse for accidentally posting this in traditional art as well, oops...)

I like to think Watson goes on to write self-insert fanfic in the latter parts in which he is a total Gary Stu and has mpreg misadventures with Holmes.

I'm thinking of having this continue and Holmes is indeed oblivious, so Mary has to goad Watson into even saying anything because, well, DUH, of course Holmes loves him back.

You underestimate your powers of showing not telling, my dear. It was very clear what was happening. The journal is a particularly nice touch. I hate it when you can't actually read those things. When you can, it makes you feel all detective-y - eminently appropriate for SH.

I'm not fond of books I can't read in images either. If I see a book, I'm going to want to read it - don't deny me! And I'm quite glad Mary came across as understanding; I imagine her as thinking that it sucks, but oh, well, what can one do.

I read a fic somewhere in which she knew and was understandably upset but actually pretty much okay with the whole thing because, well, she didn't really have a choice. Talk about epic!Mary. I like to think of her more like that, 'cos otherwise she's just invading my OTP.
