I see butterflies flying through.............while I'm being surrounded by the thorns of roses.....

These are so failed roses!! I used about 4 layers on the roses and 3 layers on the stems!
Its my first time using soft pastels.

This is pretty. The girl's eyes are very expressive, and I like the way her hair is, as though there's a gentle breeze.
And the roses aren't failed at all, especially considering that it's your first time using this medium. Although I do think they would look more realistic if there was a stem attaching the roses to the vine, rather than having them right on it.
The butterflies are pretty, too 
My only real issue with this is how the background is left white, I think it would do a lot for it if you at least filled it in with a color of your choice.

Very pretty piece! The art isn't bad and the girl is very pretty, but her face shape is a little off. Her nose should come out more, it sort of looks like shye almost doesn't have one. The breasts are also oddly pointy. But, the hair and eyes are nice, and you combatted the flaws with your beautiful coloring!
