Not finnished, as you prolly can see XDThis Is Kyo, Vocalist Of Dir en grey.
The Hair almost killed me! I hate drawing Hair! There are like eight different colors used only in the hair!
There's a few things I have to fix before I uppload the finnished version. Like the eyes. they're not right if you compare them with each other.
Oh and by the way, I know that he don't have a nose. He is not supposed to have a nose either. The picture is like that. XD
I Do like this drawing a lot more then my other color drawings. But I still see many things I need to work harder with on the next XD

whaaa indeed Kyo in "the Final" looks soo cool and I luv this song - one of the very first songs I heard by them and fell in love heh aaaah and "the Final" was the first PV I watched by them! isn't it funny

OOh really? The first song I ever heard of them was cage. and That was the first j-rock song I heard too ! I downloaded it on my comp, and I had downloaded the pv instead of the song without knowing, and I remember being SO freaked out because of all the blood and all in the pv! Now it's just great though XD I love that Pv ! XD
But It was basically the Final that got me hooked on Diru too XD The final and cage XD

I don't want to say too much in order that I can say it all on the finished version, but yay for drawings without noses! 8D I'm working on one of Kaoru in which he doesn't have a nose.

And it is for that reason that I avoid all drawings with two eyes. D: I can never make them match. And what's annoying is when they don't match in the first place but still look good on the photo, but when you draw them that way they just look like crap. Dx At least you can say it's because Kyo's face is at an angle.
That hair is amazing. Only eight colors? Pffft. You noob. xD I use at least eight colors for EVERYTHING. <3 I'm kidding, it looks amazing.

Yeah, I was in this thing where I would always try to draw the people more perfect than the picture showed them, and so they looked like...I don't know. D: Normal. And now I'm like, drawing them as the picture shows them and so they look like super-deformed. >_> What's up with that?
Oh yeah. I love colors. I have at least seven colors I use on skin alone. Hair and clothing and such all depends and whatnot. xP I did this one drawing recently, and on that skin I used fourteen colors in seventeen layers. xDDD That took forever.

Grunge is hard to achieve with colored pencils. ;_;
Well I mean, when I first started to try to draw realism, I was like, "Yeah, I'll make these sorta realistic, but really I want them to look perfect too." So I added bits and pieces of my own style, stylized certain aspects, etc.
And I mean, the drawings (of Kaoru and Toshiya) looked like Kaoru and Toshiya (the one of Shinya looked like Toshiya T__________T God only knows why).
But I'm working on a drawing now and I'm trying for ultra-super-duper realism, where I draw everything as I see it, not stylizing anything. And like, it looks nothing like Kaoru.

I don't know how other colored pencil artists achieve realism. >_> Maybe I'll ask the two I know of someday. I just have this thing where I use inordinate amounts of color in order to make up for my lack of knowing what the heck I'm doing. xD It's pathetic, really.

OOH Isee what you mean! but that really is a good thing! cuz then you just add your style to it too, you know! I mean, I'd rather like a drawing where I can see the artist in the picture if you know what I mean, Insead of just something that looked EXCACTLY like a photograph. that sounded so weird? I dunno if you understood what I meant at all XD Well, like I think having your own style is the most imporant thing. and you have a really strong and cool and just a great style to your drawing!

Ahh the KaoKao picu! It'll prolly be great! but it don't matter if it looks like him or not! that's not the most important thing you know! you should finnish it, and if it don't turn out good, yu can just start over, you know XD

WOW..this is amazing!!!! I love the colors especially...and the high contrast that seems to bring out the details in the picture...my favorite part has to be the hair and eyes by far.....it's lovely to see so many hues used in the hair...and i love the exquisite detail around the eye....I can't believe this is a WIP...it's amazing so far..definately a fav!!! Great work!!!

No I think it really fits this image. Because now it looks like one of those high contrast photo's. Because the colours are also so very bright it seems normal that you can not see his nose and he seems so light. That's what that sort of images look like. I think that's also what makes this drawing very special and cool! I would not change that!!

It's just perfect like this because it does look VERY reall but it also still is your own super cool gorgeous style! I love that about you work!!!
