I've Just made this very rough speedpainting of a dragon.I just had to make something before I go to bed.
one minute I lacked total inspiration the next I was on fire so to speak.
done within a half hour in photoshop.

I especially like the fire effects and the contrast. The fact that it's a speed paint just makes it more impressive.

one thing I noticed when I was painting it was that the contrast between the darkness & the fiery dragon's deaills worked realy well.
sometimes less is more.

most off the time I work on something for many hours with lots of planning and it isn't so well recieved or I can quickly make a simple composition just for fun and everybody loves it!
I think it's the great contrast between the dark areas & the fiery red detaills off the dragon coming out off it.
the smoke also helps adding atmosphere.

yeah it was a real fast job.
lots off quick sketchlike brushstrokes.
add some color & smoke for atmospere& voila!
it goes to show my best works are quick spontanious pieces without to much planning.
I was surprised by the endresult myself!
