UPDATE: added some more color,contrast & detail.Finaly a new deviation from me.
I've been very busy lately so I was very glad to finaly have some time to paint for myself.
a real organic little piece with most of my favourite elements.
hope you all like.
& off-course any comment or advice is always welcome.

to answer your question it's completely digital.
I started out just messing with big strokes of different shades in grey.
once I found the subject & lighting I started narowing down in drawing & painting, still for as long as possible in greyscale.
when the piece was somewhat solid I added some textured brushwork & some color on a separate layer in color mode. I then used the a small airbrush for lots off little details like the hairs on the troll.
there's more to it but this post hat gotten big enough allready I think.

sounds like all those speed-paintng-tutorials i've found swimming around on the net.
Thing is, when i try it either looks "ew" or i get caught up in stoopid things and it takes me like 3 weeks

he does seem to be in a sticky situation.
though I could put a twist on it & make it a simple game of hide & seek.
wouldn't that be ironic.
but I think it's still the first observation that's the correct one.

I must add that the mural was a collaboration & it was for a children's room.
it's a picture of radiator springs from disney/pixar's cars.
quite something different then I'm used to do but it was also a fun experience.

It is really good to work on random stuffs.In order to survive in the industry we have to be best at every aspects.
You should do wallmurals with your classic illustration style one day.All the best for your future projects
