Description There's one creature that comes, each day, to the forest glade full of mailboxes. This creature is very curious; it pushes each of them until the little door opens and then examines the insides.  Sometimes a letter can be found in there. The large creature has never witnessed where the letters come from but it has loved them for that unsual smell that can't be found anywhere else in the forest.

Each day, there is one person that ventures to the same place to leave a letter or two in the mailboxes. No one knows who would need to send out letters in a forest, if these are real letters at all, but after the job is done the person hides and watches the curious creature as it drags out envelopes and sniffs at them. The postman never gets angry or tries to stop it: they just watch, silently. And when the creature leaves, the person makes snow sculptures to express their delight of meeting it. If the person was braver, perhaps they would have chosen to meet with the creature, face-to-face, but what for? This acquaintance would only ruin their daily routine.
_______

I love your story. It reminds of an old folk story. It sounds like the kind of story that gets passed down from generation to generation.

Thank you! Oh, that's quite interesting actually, someone else asked in the comments earlier if this story was actually an old folk story  I never thought it actually sounded like this!

Your style has so much traditional art quality to it; it's amazing well done! and the story that goes with it just make the picture even more worthy to venture into its lore. I really like it.

I'm glad to hear it because I do try to make my digital drawings have a similar feel as traditional ones  I'm also happy that you liked the story, I suppose that writing has always been a challenge for me
Thank you!

Himmis In reply to LipsterLeo [2019-03-26 15:33:52 +0000 UTC]
