Personality

Melody is a very polite and friendly character which is the result of her conservative education. She was taught to shut her mouth and smile politely, to be submissive to her parent's - especially her father's - wishes and that she's only worthy if she's successful in her life. Melody despices a behaviour like that and is a free-spirited girl with a lot of dreams and joy in life since she left the house of her parents. Melody is very easy to get along since she is so nice and caring. She's more like a mother to others.
She is very responsible and reasonable and a very good listener. Her presence has something calming and warm and others enjoy her company even if she's just sitting there and listening quietly. She is also very mature and collected and never shows anger or irritation. She is patient and likes to help others where she can.

Melody was fascinated by the Chinese culture and decided to stay there a while longer while she travelled the world with her teammates. She met Da Xian by chance and became friends with him before they eventually started dating. Though their relationship is more complex than that.

Past: As the daughter of a marquess, Melody was raised very strict and conservative. She had to take ballett, piano and singing classes, she had to learn how to ride and to sew, she had to take part in competitions and to act like a lady. But she could never please her parents expectations because whatever she did, she was never able to reach the first place no matter how hard she tried.
Melody was a very lonely child - her only friend was Wales and the two of them were nearly inseperable when they were little. Since Wales was intrested in the beyblade sport, Melody asked him to tell her about it and she was fascinated. She wanted to try it out but her parents were against it. Wales' parents took pity on her and gifted her a bey for her birthday, much to her parents dislike. Wales taught her how to use her bey and they battled together because Melody wasn't allowed to leave the property of the Thompson family.

As they grew older, Melody wished to be free from her parents. She was sick and tired of the traditions and she didn't want to be treated like a princess. She planned her escape thouroughly with Wales help. She had found an online forum for beybladers in the European Union and met Sophia , Leonie and Celeste there. They had planned to make it to the World Championships as team Dreamcatcher but Melody got defeated and knocked out in the semi final even if she promised to fight against Wales in the final.
She was very disappointed but didn't plan on going back to her parents and so she travelled the world with her new friends.

It wasn't long that they arrived in China and Melody decided to stay there a bit longer. One afternoon, she met Da Xian and intriduced herself as a blader, but not a very good one and they took a liking to each other after a long walk. A few weeks passed and Melody was allowed to visit the Beylin Temple where she stayed eventually.
She helped team Wang Hu Zhong during the Nemesis crisis.

She and Wales knew each other since they were very little and their parents actually considered an engagement but neither Melody nor Wales were fond of that idea.
But they actually did share their first kiss.
