Thank you so much!
This is my first time actually finishing a full digital drawing. I've had a few attempts but I would always give up mid picture; but this time I stuck it through.
It takes a lot to get the hang of. I'm still not sure how I feel about it.
And thank you so much again! :3

You're so sweet!
Thankfully, I had a little background in Photoshop so I already had a good grasp on the layering.
There is a lot to learn and remember with it.

Haha yeah all my art classes were that long. But the ones where we could get to draw during class they would pass so quick!
Yeah, I am awful at finding good pictures to take. I told my photography teacher at the beginning of the semester I was no good at it and he was like: "Oh don't worry, I bet you're better than you think." But by the end of the semester he agreed with me lol. I still got an A in it though since I tried my best and fulfilled the requirement. It gave me a new appreciation for people who are very talented in taking pictures.

Haha no worries, I finished the class and haven't picked up a camera since. Lol! I'll leave that art to real photographers.
Aw thanks! You are too!

This is amazing! Your coloring skills is fantastic, sometime it hard for me to color and details on digital. But it take practice to get it right.

Yeah, digital art does take a lot to learn. I'm still learning new things, even though I've been drawing digitally for years. It takes a lot of practice to get good.
That's why I use tutorials on youtube. They're very informative.
Anyway, your lineart looks a bit shaky in some parts (which I can understand because drawing with a tablet isn't the same as drawing with a pencil on paper. You have a little less control). You may want to learn how to use the pen tool if your program has it. I personally don't like the pen tool (I use the ink tool in Gimp and put it on smooth stroke), but it does make neater lines if you master it. You also may want to add more values, and also add highlights to the hair. In my experience, setting the brush to "multiply" helps with shading, and with highlights, soft/hard light works for me (though I don't really use highlights on my character's hair...it just doesn't look good in the style I draw in).
For your first attempt though, you did very well! I like how you added shadows. I also like the details on her clothes (especially on her pants and belt. It gives texture).
What program did you use?

Thank you for the detailed and honest response! I truly appreciate it
Yea, my lineart is super shaky! This was the best I could muster after many attempts haha. I will have to look into the pen tool. I am barely getting used to the regular controls but that tool sounds really useful. I am having a hard time adding highlights without them looking out of place. I'll have to try what you suggested.
And thank you! I still have a lot to learn and improve on. But the only way to go is up and practice always breeds improvement.
Or at least I hope it will haah!
I used Art Tool SAI
