(2002 / 2010) This is a tribute toΒ Oni Β (2001), a Sci-Fi action game by Bungie before they got their Halo fandom.The portrait subject is the purple hair Technological Crimes Task Force (TCTF) agent Konoko, her pose is based on the video game's cover but mixed in with some realistic details and proportion.
I am not a fan of Oni the game, but I am attached to this character as I was involved with a failed attempt of a sequel, dedicated a year or two of my professional life developing it.
The original sketch was done with a pen and it was digitally colored in Photoshop.

Yup the game was pretty touch as I remembered it... Too bad no Oni sequel was made but I am sure glad Parasite Eve is getting a third one! Cheers!
