I've been lurking your photos for a little while (I was turned on by ) when I decided to go through all of them- I absolutley love your dolls, and your photography and editing skills are phenominal. I've always wondered how you get your entire photo, especially the background, to take on this dank look- Do you turn down the contrast and then put on a gradient map, or something of the sort?
That said, I absolutley love this particular photo- The blur of the background really makes the face of the doll stand out- and I absolutley love the veiw of the pink inner eyelids you get by shooting down-I have such an obsession with pink eyelids. <33

I always try to use natural light, such as in this particular photo. The background's some charcoal-grey tiles. I can't really remember what I did, sorry

A mix of techniques, and playing around with effects layers seems to be the method of choice for most people I talk to. Both you and have quite a gift for it. I've done a little bit of work like that, but I havent done much more than drabble. I cant wait to work with some photos of my doll when he comes. I've heard that natural light is the best (I'm not much of a photographer myself XD) however, I've seen some stunning pictures in very low light, and with well placed directional light too.
They're so beautiful- I once saw a faceup where the lower eyelid was the most central feature, on a WS doll with a white wig and black eyes- Just stunning.

I was skimming your journal after I stumbled on your page. Seriously. I thought your stuff was CG, but finding out it's DOLLS, and me, always interested in stuff like this, your stuff seems more lively and EVERYTHING than other people's I've seen. Great job!
