This is going to be the last comic I attempt with handwriting until I gut the Ames lettering guide. Until then, it's all PS.Sorry for the delay. Expect the next one in a few minutes.

Can you use the Ames guide with a t-square and straight edge?
Almost any well-made desk has a straight edge, but a tilted drawing table is so much better.

I have not gotten the Ame's guide yet, so I can't comment. I do have a tilted desk though. Strait edges too.

DOH! You will just need a straight edge.... I think they are fairly inexpensive. Make sure it has enough edge to hold the Ames guide. I use the plasticy-wooden one with the black end piece. It has clear plastic edges on top and bottom of the slider. I think they are only $7 or so.
