They are so different, so it would be great to listen what they say.

Thank you

Mars is made to be almost a copy of Atom, but his behaviour is totally different. Somehow they share the same soul...

Yes. It is a bit like with my OC Zola Mars, Astros twin sister, but I invented her before I found out about Jetter Mars.

I know that Tezuka never wanted to invent another Tetsuwan Atom. But he had to: his publishing house failed for bankruptcy, so he could not use his main characters. He wanted to go on in developing his robot-boy, so he invented Mars. The secondary characters as Mustachio, Tamao, Shibugaki, Keniichi are all the same.
Mars is born in 2015 and his father, Liborio Yamanoue, never lost a son: he just wanted a compact super-robot, a perfect warrior with a superior electronic brain.
And his amazing and incredible empty mind was created by Eustachio Kawashima, a pacifist scientist, who also built a daughter, Miri, to have a company at home. And Miri means the Russian word MIR, peace.

Many known characters appear in Jetter Mars's series, even a man who is Tenma, no doubt, and a giant robot who's Garon, but with a different color.
The action is set in Japan, but we're not in Tokyo anymore. The anime was made in 1977, three years before the second Astro boy anime.

When Tezuka could use his main character again, he almost said goodbye to Mars.

It's ironic: Italians remember better Jetter Mars (known here as Capitan Jet) then Atom. Our version is also translated in a strange odd way: sometimes I am sure they were inventing lines, ignoring the original ones. Sometimes they gave characters different accents.

Zola Mars? And who built her? Eh, a female version of Atom... it would be strange. ^_^

Oh now I know about that Jetter Mars mystery.

Why strange? ^^

Well, that could be a sorta of Tobio in RanmaΒ½ 's version.
Tenma did not really approve Uran; imagine what could he say about a female version of his boy!

Why Zola? It was "Zoran" like?

No, my name is Zola and she is based on me, because I'd love to be Astro's twin sister.

Uhm, maybe they invented her when they got Atom's blueprints... or when they disassebled him to see how he's made. Well, this is creepy, but that's it.

So Zola can fly, can hear and see from long distance, she can speak many languages, she has got all the weapons he has (even the rear guns? ), she's amazing, and she can also express deep feelings.

I think he could see her as another sister. But, this time, as powerful as him, so she can help him in crisis and difficult moments. The three can be a band, as they were when there was Cobalt, the third brother!

I once imagined a story like that, but I did not develope it: a robot with a female program but a male body; for a robot, gender is not very important, but if this robot is supposed to mimic humans and live among us, being a female or a male becomes really important; in the original comic there was a law: no robot can change his mind and his body, alterating his/her age or gender.
So, if they have to build such a robot in a hurry, and she likes what she is, there could be a serious problem...

It was just a thought, an idea. I never wrote or drew so much about it.

Zola can't fly and has only digibeams, super strength, and an arm cannon. But her dream is it to fly like her brother. I thought of a story like this:
Zola was made by someone, who badly wants a robot child like Astro but fermale. So he/she stole astros blueprints and based Zola Β on Astros design. But then Zola runs away to find her own way to live, because she wasn't even allowed to go out. Her personality is much different from Zoran: She hates dresses and is often wearing colors like dark purple, Black, Red and blue. She is very strong and Β she does what she wants to.

When she rans off, she comes to Metro City soon, but everybody seems to dislike her. The call her a copy and a fake "Astro" . But Β Zola don't Β even knows who or what Astro is, and decides to find him or it. But when she finally finds him and tries t explain things , there are those guys from the city again and teasing Zola and Astro like: "Hey Astro! Nice girlfriend! Β -Hey girl why do you look like Astro? Β We don't need two of you and besides, Astro already has a sister!"Β
And Zola runs away and cries. Astro seaches everywhere for her, and finally finds her, almost out of energy. But Β his energylevel is too low to fly too and so he decides to walk. But Zolas creator put a microdetector in her chest, so he can chase her, and finally catch Astro. Now everything makes sense: He let Zola run off because he knew she would try to find Astro. Then he used Zola as a trap to capture the famos Astro Boy and make a much better copy than Zola, because she cant fly and her armcannon isn't able to kill a human, just hurt him badly. But she has kokoro too and while her creator's dissesembling Astro, she uses her last energy to take her own creator down. Then back home, after they where found by the police, astro decides to accept Zola as his cute twinsister. And Zoran is happy too because we all know, that she always wanted an older sister.

That's great
It could be a good story.

Well, here in Italy, Zola is a surname, it was a bit hard to me to understand. Sorry ^_^'

So, she was made to be a bait, a trap to put Zola's creator's hands on Atom. They could not make her a copy of him, so they used her, even if she's got a high-performing AI and she could understand far far more than a mere thing. They made her like that, but in the end they see them as things, great technology goods and tools.

This is exactly the spirit under the story.

I think I found you on facebook. I am Marcella Emma Acone: you can check my albums out.

Zola was a great soccer player, who, in England, was called "The Magic Box" :-D. Then, there's the famous Γ‰mile Zola.
I thought you changed the name Zoran a bit... And I bet our pronounciation is very different.

I am listening to the German 1980s series and I can't help loving it: the more I listen to it, the more I like it!

So... now is 2015. Jetter Mars is born in this year, don't know in which month, but this is the year. And how about Zola? Atom's date of birth is set on 2003 (or 2030...), 7, april. Zola's activation's is after his. And have you got a precise date?

Fortuna's birth is in the night between 13 and 14 of february; she's 15, but she's part human, even if she was created in a laboratory too.

Oh man! I havent been on facebook for months!Β

Zoran is a male name here.

But sounds my name really that strange to you?
Well you can call me Hannah too.
Zola is actually my 3. name. But I like the name Zola much more than Hannah because everyone is teasing me with Hannah Montana if I use Hannah.
And I hate my second name Luzia.
So Friends call me just Zola.
And they say Zola sounds like the name of an anime character, wich is why I'm a bit proud.Β

You mean the song- I uploadet?^^Β

I think her 'birthday' is at September 13th. Β

That sounds interesting.Β

Yes, I was meaning the opening song you uploaded I like it so much!

I am always on facebook... I haven't got friends where I live, so my old and new friends are all on facebook and here.
You can easily reckognize me: all my albums are full of drawings, and only the last two are almost all about Astro Boy. I've got many of original characters.

Oh, it's interesting about names: I found Zoran was a male name from the East, I did not know was used even in Germany. It is very ugly for a little girl, to tell you my opinion. Uran is so cute, instead, even if it's a name of a planet and of a Greek ancient God.

It happened to me, too, to not really like my own name, but I had to revalue it: I have just two homonyms in the world, and I am the only with Emma as second name. And I am the only Hirpina81 of all web ^_^
I once hated my name, because I thought it was too long. I hated the way people pronounce it, stressing in an ugly way on the E. And when I hear it, it's someone calling me, and it's a pre-alert situation! It calls "Warning! Achtung! Attenzione! Cuidado!"

I'll come on facebook soon.

I think Zoran is a pretty cool name for her. It sonds so tomboyish and that fits perfectly in with the Uran from the 2003 version.
And Uran sounds a bit weird in german.
Anyway, I like the names Astro and Zoran better then Atom and Uran.^^

My name, Astro-boy-2003, is not very cool. But I wanted everybody to know that I love Astro Boy.

Well, if you come there, you'll find me easily.

You love the new names? Well, it's Ok. Many characters have different names in the world.
Jetter Mars, for an example, here in Italy was called Capitan Jet, and some people think he's Astro Boy. ^_^'
I think the Italian watchers liked more Jetter Mars, because his stories were not so heavy and sad as Atom's ones; Mars faces lots of dangerous and sad situations too, but his behavior is totally different from Astro's. Mars is almost empty minded, in spite of all his study, and he likes breaking things. He loves to do what he was made to. That makes easier to watch his adventures, even if he sometimes finds the same problems Astro faces.

Tezuka had to create a sorta of sosia or clone of his Tetsuwan Atom because his society went bankrupt: he could not use his character anymore, so invented another robot-boy; he changed the main characters and their story, but keeping the same secondary characters, as Tawashi, Mustachio and the kids from school.

Jetter Mars in Spanish is called Jet Marte, and in Persian they call him Kuki (well, Kuki al "whatever"... I did not get the whole name! ^_^').

The Italian dubbing also changed the names of Tamao (calling him Taddeo) and Shibugaki (calling him Ulisse) and Mustachio (calling him Polifemo). Italian dubbing is a real mess, but Mars's voice is very cute, and the dubber, an actress, gave him also a strange way of speaking, so he really seems a bit confused in his mind!
They almost invented a huge part of the lines, so they contradict themselves in the turn of a scene.
I think it was all about censorship: they wanted the series to be more fun and less serious.
That's why, I think, 1980s Astro Boy Italian dubbing is almost impossible to find: it was hard to make it fun and easy to watch!

All along the series, they call him: Capitan Jet, Jet Mars, Mars Jet, Capitan Mars... It's a bit too much! ^_^

Your name is how I found you there.

The problem is facebook won't respect my password anymore and now I can't log in.

You said Jetter Mars is more funny than Astro Boy.

Well maybe you're right. I've never watched any Jetter mars episodes.
But I loke those sad and super serious anime, where people even die. I don't know why.
I like it when there is a sad part in a movie, cause you can feel how the person feels.

The sort of things, i like the most of anime are the fighting scenes and the sad parts. But I like happy things too

Ah, it's a shame. Maybe, if you like, you could make a new page with a new account. But I don't want to force you. It's Ok.

I finally found the Italian dubbing of the 1980s series, and it was very good; they censored it in few parts. We did not see Atlas, in his kid form, attacking Walpurgis when the bad man left Livian in pieces.
And, well, they did not change any name; Atom is Astroboy, and Uran is called Urane... don't know why, but the main plot is respected in an unexpected way.
Jetter Mars, instead, was messed up, trying to make the story funny.

In both series we see real tragedies, but Mars seems to be more lucky than Astro.

I like anime with battles and duels too, but they have to show a good story, or they become boring. I don't really like love stories, but it's a matter of quality: if it's good, I can tolerate even romance.

Both Atom and Mars are very delicate characters: as robots, they can't heal, so, even a scratch can be permanent, so they have to be cared a lot. And it means every little hit can be healed with a session in a laboratory, a thing very similar to surgery. They are too human-like, and I suffer everytime I see them or Uran or other AI robots on the table. I know they will feel better, but it's always hard to see.

If you like seriuos anime or movies, it's not a problem, you know. Their stories can be deep, you can learn a lot from them, enjoying them at the same time.
Anime's bad feature is that have good stories but rushed final episodes, and their dialogues sometime are hard to understand, and it's not all about bad translations.
It seems the characters speak without listening to each other...
Sometimes they seem just night-dreams, where almost everything is put in, without any logic.
For me it's good, but they haven't to exaggerate, or it will be a bad copy of the already mad book "Alice in Wonderland".

I love tragic stories too, but I need a happy ending, or an open ending where you can see some possibilities and eventually invent them by yourself.

If you see Italian TV movies and series, or movies, many of them are made of sad depressed addictged gay people against rich bad heartless bad men... and in the end they all die. o.O
I don't stand that rubbish.
