Description This is a picture I took in the forest a long time ago and have always loved it This is my desktop background ha.

This is the only digital picture I have ever submitted without any post-processing.

Some news:

I do not intend to finish the "Often" series any time in the near future. I am not going to pursue that work at all for the time being.

If you've been waiting, then I very sincerely appreciate your time and the support you've dedicated to me and to that work, but I'm off in search of better things.. I need to recalibrate and recenter myself artistically, and I don't see the Often pieces playing a part in that.

I like the dof but it seems it could be stronger compositionally if the 'y' were not centered. Just my opinion.

First of all, I love the title. I have so many good connotations with the word 'November', that this gives me a good feeling before even seeing the picture. After seeing the picture I still think it's a good title, because of the colours. The background is greyish, and this adds to the winter feeling of the object in the picture itself. However, there's some color in it still. Not only the salmon-pink-colored leaf (which I would expect to be brown) has it's own brightnes, also the background still has some life in it. To conclude, it is winter, but not yet. So It's November in stead of December.
Moreover, the leaf which is special because of its colour, seems to move. It hasn't left the tree yet, it's still alive, but it's moving. I see it as dancing a last dance.

Hm, a whole story again, even with signposting, wauw. You just make me want to write the story that it tells me. So; good work again, as always.

Love,
Alice

The simplicity is so wonderful.
Well done.

It has just turned spring down here,
but I see autumn so fresh in my mind again,
I like autumn!

Ciao.

I like the leaf. It looks lonely.
You doing okay? Is there a reason for the sudden need of recalibration?

Ha, the leaf is lonely I suppose. Except for me; I was it's companion if only for a little bit, eh?

There are many reasons for my need to recenter myself. Dramatic, interesting reasons ha.. I will tell you all about them sometime.

I'm listening to some of my Broadway soundtracks and remembering our time in NYC last winter haha :}

Just yesterday I was walking home on a big big street with trees with golden leaves. It was raining on and off... and I could smell the autumn of the rotten remains along the sidewalk...
Autumn always makes me feel cozy...
Nice pic!

This looks like where I live...lots of trees. Wooded that is. We live on 30 acres of woods. I will soon see this kind of thing soon. I will miss the warm days though.
