I don't care if you like Serbs or not. I don't even care if you choose to support Albania in this issue. Because laws and historical truth are the only thing that matters, and the (NATO) narrative with which you have formed your opinion is nothing but a lie. Kosovo and Metohija is Serbia. It's a fact, and facts don't give a single flying f*ck about your feelings or opinion.  And don't get me out with the Raçak "massacre", because that never happened, and all OSCE (organization which is also American, by the way) members in Kosovo in that January 1999 agree it was a fire fight between the Serbian army and UÇK terrorists.
Hate to break it to you, but Kosovo is not really "independent".
1.- It is f*cking illegal. The 2008 unilateral declaration of independence, by the UÇK (we'll go with these motherf*ckers in a moment), presented a breach in UN Security Council Resolution 1244, passed by unanimity (with only one abstention), which specifically states that all UN member states are obliged to respect in every moment Serbia's territorial integrity. Initially, there were 82 (including Serbia) nations who refused to recognize this aborrent breach of international Law, but since 2018, 16 nations who had initially recognized the unilateral declaration of independence, had withdrawn recognition - so now, we are 98. The UN does not recognize the so-called "Republic of Kosovo".

2.- The secession lacks legitimacy. Because I know that something being illegal doesn't mean it's not legitimate. Well, except in this case. Because there was no referendum at all to corroborate what Kosovars (Serbs and Albanians equally) actually wanted.

3.- Kosovo is occupied by US imperialist forces. Think about it. Why was the "Republic of Kosovo" recoginized? In June 1999, after 78 days of criminal bombings against Serbia in which between 2,500 and 5,700 innocent civilians were killed, the US began the construction of Camp Bondsteel, which today is its largest military base in Europe, close to Russia and, worth noting, the Trepča mining complex, which contains 17,000 million carbon reserves, worth around $US 5,000 million. Also, ALSO: Camp Bondsteel also operates with total opacity. And let's PRAY US soldiers don't use Camp Bondsteel as they use Okinawa.

Since the NATO occupation, Kosovo and Metohija is merged in a deep humanitarian crisis.
In 2011, some NATO secret documents leaked to British daily The Guardian pointed at Kosovo's "prime minister" Hashim Thaçi for being a "big fish" in organized crime. He's not the only one: all members of the Kosovar regional government were/are involved in organized crime at different level, and none of them, enjoying NATO protection, would ever be condemned for their actions. Ramush Haradinaj, to put another example, who conducted terrorist activities of the UÇK in, what are the odds, the villages of Račak and Rugovo, was absolved by The Hague Tribunal in 2008, because, for some reason, there was "no evidence" to convicted him (just a day before he declared in trial for war crimes and terrorist activities, 9 of the 10 witnesses that had to declare against him mysteriously died, and the one who survived, refused to talk. That should, at least, for a decent court, be reason enough to arouse doubts of his innocence and open up a separate case to investigate these deaths.)

The so-called "Kosovo Liberation Army" (abridged U.Ç.K., for its name in Albanian) hasn't ceased its criminal activities since its creation in 1992. William Blum, American writer, exposes in this article on Foreign Policy Journal that the US govt. knew about this (but, as usual, didn't/doesn't care):

Another proud example of the United States fighting the awful jihadists is Kosovo, an overwhelmingly Muslim province of Serbia. The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) began an armed conflict with Belgrade in the early 1990s to split Kosovo from Serbia. The KLA was for years considered a terrorist organization by the US, the UK, and France, with numerous reports of the KLA having contact with al-Qaeda, getting arms from them, having its militants trained in al-Qaeda camps in Pakistan, and even having members of al-Qaeda in KLA ranks fighting against Serbia.  But Washington’s imperialists, more concerned about dealing a blow to Serbia, “the last communist government in Europe”, supported the KLA.The KLA have been known for their torture and trafficking in women, heroin, and human body parts.  The United States has naturally been pushing for Kosovo’s membership in NATO and the European Union.
In 2004, the KLA perpetrated a real ethnic cleansing against Serb Kosovars. Many were killed, many were forced to flee the region they had been living in for many years. Serb civilians who remained in the province, either live in the Northern region, which is safer, or in the enclaves. The second ones live permantly threatened by UÇK terrorists, who sabotage their crops, vandalize their homes and throw stones at them when they go to Church. In total, more than 50,000 Serbs had been forced to flee the region since the US imperialist occupation began

I  so wish  I was joking

The main help Serb civilians receive come from the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center, main headquarters located in Niš, and the French-Spanish NGO Solidarity Kosovo.

But that's not the only dramatic thing which happens in the Serbian province nowadays: the poverty rate in Kosovo and Metohija is around a 50% (10% of that being extreme poverty), unemployment is around a 40% and the minimum wage roughly reaches 200 €/month. Poverty and misery leads to despair, which is fuel for mafias to sprout. Let's not forget as well that the province is nowadays predominantly Muslim, most of those being Albanians, which means that this poverty, misery and despair is also a perfect magnet for Daesh. Kosovo and Metohija has become the craddle for jihadism and Islamic fundamentalism in Europe (former KLA members had been seen fighting for Daesh in Syria).

OBVIOUS conclusion (for anyone with a functional brain)
Defending Kosovo and Metohija as a part of Serbia is no longer just a question of history, legality and legitimacy, it has become a question of justice and humanitarianism. Supporting Serbia and fighting against the anti-Serb Black Legend created by US and EU propagandists doesn't make you a "fascist", a "Christian fundamentalist" nor an "Islamophobe": it, simply, makes you HUMAN. Besides, the US occupation is also terrible for Albanian civilians, who, FYI, went to live to Kosovo because Serbia offered them a bettler life than what they had in Albania (so allow me to question the moronic "logic" that all Kosovo Albanians wanted to join Albania. )

No matter what it takes, there's no surrender: Косово је Србија!
