Say hello to Interstate 48 from Intertropolis & Routeville. Interstate 48 (I-48) is the main character in the Sintopia (and Nickelodeon) animated television series Intertropolis & Routeville. She is a female Interstate Highway shield who is a close best friend of U.S. Route 86. She is very good at coming up with her and US 86's plans, but sometimes her ideas doesn't work the way she thought they would. I-48 is about the same age as her friend US 86, at 20 years of age. She is younger than US 86. I-48 and US 86's birthdays are six months (a half year) away. Despite her age, she is still a bit childish. She is working on coming up with her maturity. She lives in Intertropolis, Nevada with her roommate US 86. I-48 is a hyperenergetic adult Interstate Highway sign and despite her 20-year-old age, she can become a little immature when fun things come, which bothers US 86 a lot. She loves her roommate boyfriend US 86 and she really loves music and meeting new people. What I-48 dislikes is police officers like Officer Interstate 38. This was revealed in the episode "Interstate Workers", when I-48 and US 86 become temporary construction workers for community service to get enough money to get their car out of the impound lot. In the episode "Interstate Highways Are Not Racetracks", I-48 with US 86 wants to help all the police officers catch a criminal high-speed chasing on Interstate 248.
