A little sketch I'm working on. Why I put it here instead my old gallery is cuz this revolves round gory blood. Just blood and torn muscles and stuff, not related to bellies.

This is Celeste Hawking, however her real name is Jun Hua Hawkins. She is a Eurasian (half Chinese, half European) inventor in the alternate year, 1907. Here's how her story went.

Seven years ago, she was an assistant of a inventor who was trying to create prosthetic limbs with direct nerve control. However, before he was nearly complete, he fell sick. He passed his work to Jun Hua and then died. Jun Hua tried to continue his work but because he didn't complete the last bit of the blueprint of the limb before his death, it was very hard for her. Then the chief (a selfish ignorant hotshot who despires the thought of other races on the verge of science) from the academy of engineering suddenly gave her plans of introducing a new kind of metal that was flexible and could elongate. This could help complete the prosthetic limb. For a whole year, she spent working until she created a complete limb that's the same in the pic.

Now here comes the bloody part. Jun Hua was stabbed and lost her right arm to the elbow by a hybrid assassin but luckily, someone found her and she was rushed into hospital. Later, she finds out those plans given by the chief were Chinese military plans stolen by a Chinese secert society that were plotting to conquer and control not only China but perhaps the world. And the limb she created was to be a military war weapon. So Jun Hau secretly placed the prosthetic limb on her elbow after doing a painful self-surgery to connect the cables to her nerves and secretly fleed to a village far far away. Changed her name to Celeste Hawking. When she first arrived to the village and bought a house with a barn a mile away from the village, villagers were suspicous of her and called her the lady with the demon hand as she covered her artificial arm with long sleeves and a glove. Until a young lad named Thomas Proudfoot stumbles into her workshop in the barn after hearing the rumour there lived a person with a demon hand. He soon became her assistant for a couple of money and slowly the villagers became friendly with her. Except for a old bloke and a young bully who thinks she's the devil's wife or something. She helps the villagers by repairing broken items since she is a good mechanic.

The Chinese secert society won't go after her for long cuz around 1911, revolution started in China and ended secret societies from creating riots against forgieners (think that also happened in Singapore but much later before World War 2). But the chief would send people to find her. After all the limb is worth a lot of money to countries bent on conquering the world, blah, blah, blah. You get the idea.

Her artificial limb not only helps her work as she's right-handed but the drill-like cables can extend beyond lengths. She can change her very fingers into claws or a blade but she rarely uses violence with the limb as stressing the limb causes glitches in the system. It's still a prototype. In addition, in case her limb malfunctions, she made a back-up plan. Her ribbon contains the same changeable metal and cable control like her limb. All she needs is to plug a small hidden cable to her neck and the ribbon comes to life, blending with her ponytail.

Oh, and she had the rest of her arm amputated by an old good noble local doctor who knows her secret. It was becuz of a flesh-eating disease. Thus came some adjustments to the artificial limb.

Currently, now she's secretly building a new artificial arm to replace the prototype but it's gonna take a while for her.
