Got my next D&D character design ready and we probably won't be playing until next year anyway ;___;Meet Theadra, my sassy Tiefling Wizard. Still haven't fully decided which Wizardy school she'll be in but I'm leaning towards Illusion cause she's meant to be sarcastic and likes to mess with people.

Officially, the Players Handbook states: "They have thick tails, four to five feet long, which lash or coil around their legs when they get upset or nervous."
That being said, if a DM doesn't mind, a player usually has a lot of creative freedom with designing their tiefling's tail

Tieflings are descendants of humans who made pacts with devils to gain more power - side effects being the horns, tails eyes etc.
Tiefling skin ranges through common human shades right into the reds, ranging from brick red to a ruddy tan. Tiefling hair, which starts behind their horns, ranges from dark blue to purple to red in addition to more normal human colors.
A lot of people tend to draw tieflings with the red skin tone though I have drawn another tiefling Joy who has the more human skin tone.

If I'm remembering right, then Tieflings are descended from fiends (which includes demons and devils) whether that be by direct parentage or by there lineage being cursed. So there kind of a mix between fiends and humans

You are welcome to see it that way though I don't believe they are seen as half devil/fiend as those are a seperate race within D&D lore yet again (common one would be cambions who are the direct children of a succubus/incubus with a human).
The pact that resulted in Tieflings was made many generations ago and it fused the essence of Asmodeous, ruler of the Nine Hells, with the humans, turning them into the first tieflings as opposed to them mating with a demon and giving birth to a tiefling. In saying that, any union with a tiefling parent will always result in a tiefling child - there are no 'half tieflings' in the D&D world.

My Tiefling is a Warlock in both iterations of her. One is a multiclass Archfey-pact Chain and Bard (Lore), the other is Raven Queen-pact Blade with Fighter (Arcane Archer).Β

Tieeeeeflings β‘β‘β‘ i admit since designing Theadra she's actually now going to be a Light Domain Cleric instead of Wizard. Her personality won't change any cause of it.
Those multiclasses sound really interesting! I still haven't actually multiclassed any of the characters I've made.
