Since there aren't many photos I haven't seen already, I'll stick with "YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN TO COMMENT ON..." - Lot more of those

I wanted to comment on this piece long ago, but then I've found no time to do so... now that I promised to comment, I'll make it clear.

When I saw this photo in small view, I've thought it's magnificent. Sooo I decided to inspect a little bit
(Rating example
7/7 is something that blows you away, very very rare, something that you don't see every day)
And here's what I think:

First sight-6/7
cached my eye immediately. Excellent, simple, wow, there's nothing to improve

Second sight-5/7
Still looks very good, but there are some things that may still be improved.
-I think there's just too much space under the feather. Yes, I understand that you wanted to have all the sparkles under and after that remain in the center with the feather. But cut away 1.5cm from the bottom, 1cm from the top (and maybe 0.6-0.7cm from the left) and you'd give a nice wide-screen effect to it and the composition wouldn't have been so centered.
-There's no other major "flaw", I guess.
Still, The depth of field and light make it nice and smooth, very pleasant to look at

MY conclusion:
Technical quality- 6,5/7
Composition- 5,3/7
Idea- 5/7

Overall- 5,6/7 - Excellent photography with a small "flaw" and impressive detail.

cool try i would have used a tripod (to use iso 100) and a larger F number to get more sharpness to it, f/5.6 lets say

I wanted to use depth of field in this particular shot which is why it isn't all in focus, I have further shots to upload I would like your comments on if thats Ok Thanks for the advice

no probs Sabrina, and i was referring to the part in focus (to be more sharp) i realized your intention of the shallow depth of field and it was a good choice, without it, it would have been a dull pic
